Care Solutions was established in 1999, after a public meeting that outlined the urgent need for carer relief in the Nelson area for families of children with long-term disabilities.
Care Solutions is a non-Government agency that has provided various care contracts and supervised contact within the community since 2004. The variety of services available has been our point of difference; we see it as a real advantage being able to offer our clients a variety of care opportunities. Some clients have required services short-term while others stayed with us for extended periods of time.
Over subsequent years services grew to meet the local demand, expanding into Adult and Child & Adolescent Mental Health; planned and crisis respite, along with pediatrics and elderly. Supervised Contact services also grew in Wellington, Tauranga and Nelson.
Care Solutions was approved as a Child and Family support service. This enabled Care Solutions to provide placements for Child, Youth & Family. These children/young people have often had a challenging start to life and present with diverse and complex needs.
